We are delighted to announce we are now working with Inspired. A Tralee-based community project that supports the continued education of young adults with ID (Intellectual Disability).
Its mission is to empower people with Intellectual Disabilities to achieve their potential, by encouraging personal choices, abilities, interests, and advocacy. They are committed to providing exceptional support through education, enterprise, employment, and community integration.
Our first bit of work was to help them secure a Defibrillator for the service through a donation, an essential piece of equipment to combat cardiac arrest, we highly recommend that your GAA club/group or any community project tries to secure one as a priority as it could be the difference between life and death, Christian Eriksen being a prime example in Euro 2020.
Without immediate treatment, approximately 95% of SCAs (Sudden Cardiac Arrests) are fatal & we are delighted to be able to donate this fantastic piece of kit to Inspired.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Bonnie, Alan, Fiona, Cody, David and all the guys today, our tour manager Eoin was a particular highlight, the ideas man!
It is truly inspiring to see the fantastic work being done with these exceptional young adults by Angela, Liz & the entire team, and we look forward to being part of that in the months and years to come.
You can see more at https://inspired.ie if you wish to get involved.
Aidan out.
